Industrial PhD Research Project

Executive Summary

TELANTO is engaged in University-Industry collaboration with more than 700 universities worldwide. Through these collaborations, the students solve real company challenges in their bachelor, master and PhD university courses. Students thus have the possibility to gain practical skills adapted to the actual market needs; the companies have access to obtaining innovative solutions and technology insights from academy and the universities receive information on the current needs of industry by which they have insight on how to actualize their programs to better fit with the challenges that industry faces. Thus, University-Industry collaboration influences all stakeholders: universities, industry and students alike and TELANTO is providing a scientific approach in analyzing the outcomes of the collaboration and investigating its effects on the participants.

For that reason, TELANTO has initiated rigourous scientific research, by starting an industrial PhD research program with Universitat Internacional de Catalunya that is supported by the Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya) and AGAUR, a government agency for support and management of university research programs. In this first industrial PhD research program, the selected PhD candidate, Eva Bozilovic Schrack, investigates the effects of the application of TELANTO´s Digital Action Learning Methodology in the University-Industry collaboration by conducting the case study at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC). The program will last 3 years and the candidate will work on the project together with many professors from UIC and other universities that form part of TELANTO´s Global Academic Business Network.
